Design Notes
His-tag is chosen as the affinity tag for our fusion protein due to its small size. This prevents the function or structure of our protein from being interfered. His-tags also provide inexpensive methods to perform purification.miRFP670nano has an excitation at 645 nm and emission at 670 nm, allowing to be detected by infrared. And for its advantages, it is highly stable to denaturation and degradation.
